More than 1.2 million people responded, with roughly 65% in favor of a new party. "By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it!" Musk wrote in his announcement.

Musk has indicated that the party’s initial strategy will be to focus on a small number of key congressional races, specifically targeting two or three Senate seats and eight to ten House districts in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
